CBAS is a high volume and Critical Authorization system that support various services and applications in the Customer service space for their critical Authorization needs. CBAS is build to be very resilient, fast and can handle thousands of transactions per second. There are hundreds of thousands of Customer Service Agents serving customers with their purchases and for that, they need access to certain data related to customers. So in this type of environment, any excess permission could result in data compromise of the customers. CBAS was build to allow only those access to the Agents that are absolutely needed for the job that they were doing. Once the job is done, the Access is revoked automatically. And all this was seamlessly integrated in the design of CBAS that it could keep track of the context of each CSA agents without making any delay in granting access for the customers. There were various applications within CBAS for various purposes and Rajan got a chance to work in all of them and enhance the features of the system.
